Are they ashamed of everything or are those people ashamed of nothing?

I would love to see statesmen who are just proud of what they can achieve.

There is quite a bit of squeaking and complaining in the decent media that the political debate is hardening so much. Isn't that what you are asking for with this increasing shameless contempt towards the citizen?

If you continuously lie, scheme, hide, misplace 5 billion, sow death and destruction with power-hungry mismanagement, systematically erode democracy, ignore judicial decisions, circumvent human rights, twist motions and ignore them... Not to mention how violent and belittling protests from society are treated and you continue to do so with a smile on your face or surprise that people doubt your integrity - what do you want to be said about that, in a decent way? Can an appropriate response actually still be 'neat'? Shouldn't you just be in jail?

Anyone who does not see that we are well past the stage of 'doing it neatly' will have an ear cut out for us. Speaking for myself: the fact that, given the misdeeds committed, it remains a matter of debate, shows cowardice rather than hardening. At the same time, violence is not a solution despite the deeply rooted hatred against certain people. But on the other hand, the system rot has reached such an advanced stage that only demolition will help. This easily translates into actions against people. If I were to say out loud what I wish on some gentlemen, politicians and doctors, I would be arrested. If anyone would even listen.

Planting a bomb or taking up weapons is not going to help. Our current leaders are like the puppets in a shooting gallery: they flip for a moment and reappear a little later.

De moderne tijd is er een van flemen, slijmen en naar boven likken en naar beneden trappen, anders hoor je er gewoon niet bij. De macht wil gestreeld en gesmeekt worden, niet gecontroleerd. Types met zulke achternamen zijn het aan hun stand verplicht om hun autoriteit te demonstreren en hun nieuw verworven macht rücksichtlos te misbruiken. Ik ken er zo een, een van oorsprong hyperintelligente, geestige, best wel links-kritische denker en schrijver. "Goede Vriend", begonnen we onze brieven aan elkaar (ja, die gingen met de post). Ik heb nog een stapel ergens liggen. Onvoorstelbaar, wat een schok als je zo iemand ziet afzinken in de leugens, de vuiligheid, de machtswellust, de bron van het kwaad.
