Als je de inzet verdubbelt, neem je in een bepaalde situatie nog meer risico. Je zet je dan opnieuw hartstochtelijk in voor een bepaalde zaak of handelwijze.
Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit het kaartspel Blackjack, beschreef het voor het eerst een strategie waarbij een speler die vertrouwen heeft in zijn hand ervoor kiest om zijn inzet te verdubbelen. Verdubbelen begon zich in de jaren 2000-2010 te ontwikkelen van “risico nemen” naar “gepassioneerde toewijding aan een zaak”. Tegenwoordig wordt verdubbelen , buiten gokken, vaak gebruikt door politici, bedrijfsleiders en media om te beschrijven hoe je een probleem met meer focus, energie en middelen aanpakt, vooral wanneer die tactiek als onverstandig wordt beschouwd.
Op de andere deelnemers aan het ´spel´ zal dit dan mogelijk het effect sorteren dat het vertrouwen toeneemt. Althans, dat is de bedoeling…

Als je denkt dat stemmen niet helpt, is het altijd nog beter om op een kleine ’tegenpartij’ te stemmen. Als je niet stemt, stem je in met de macht. Met als gevolg dat de macht zich nog oppermachtiger gaat gedragen.

De reacties op deze site laten duidelijk zien hoe ‘wij’ erover denken, maar hoe denkt de zwangere vrouw (oh nee, zwangere persoon) die zich wel laat prikken hierover? Blijkbaar vertrouwt een groot deel van de bevolking de overheid en haar instanties nog wel. Wat zou er gebeuren als het vertrouwen in de overheid onder een kritische grens komt? Is dat de angst bij de overheids instanties? Of geloven ze zelf in het nut van dit soort gevaarlijke maatregelen? Waarom worden deze prikken nog gepusht? Niet willen toegeven dat ze helemaal fout hebben gezeten speelt misschien een rol (doubling down wordt door Ed Sonneveld genoemd).
Pas als het aantal skeptici het kantelpunt bereikt zullen de overheids instanties omvallen. Dan bestaat het ‘gevaar’ dat mensen gaan inzien dat het niet alleen het Covid narratief was dat niet klopte, maar dat ongeveer elk dossier, van klimaatramp tot stikstof crisis een leugen is. En slechts uit door overheden aangewakkerde angst bestaat. Teveel anti-institutionele denkers, is dat de nachtmerrie van de technocraten?

Ik begrijp jullie frustratie, maar ik ben geen fatalist. Ik leg me niet neer bij het idee dat de globalisten al gewonnen zouden hebben.
We moeten ons blijven verzetten.
Ik ben daarom heel blij dat mensen zoals Anton en Herman, evenals een klein aantal kritische journalisten en politici, niet opgeven en stug doorgaan om de waarheid aan het licht te brengen, ook al lopen ze voortdurend tegen een muur op. Verzet plegen kan ook op andere manieren: bijv. door koffie te drinken op het Museumplein, door wel een proteststem uit te brengen op een politicus die je vertrouwt, maar die voorlopig nooit aan de macht zal komen, of door er in persoonlijke kring steeds weer over te praten.
In de aanloop naar de Tweede-Kamer-verkiezingen is het aannemelijk dat de trollen van de ‘globalistische deep state’ ook kritische burgers met ‘microtargeting’ zullen proberen te beïnvloeden. Ze weten wel dat die niet over te halen zijn om op een globalistische partij te stemmen, maar ze kunnen ze wel actief aansporen om juist niet te gaan stemmen (“omdat dat zogenaamd toch geen zin heeft”). Ik vermoed dat dat bij de Europese verkiezingen ook is gebeurd, met Ursula als desastreus resultaat.
Er hoeft maar een klein gaatje in de dijk te zitten om de hele dijk door te laten breken. Soms is het van belang om je vinger in het gat te steken zodat het systeem intact blijft. En soms moet je het gaatje juist een beetje groter pulken, om een systeemverandering te bewerkstelligen. Elke proteststem maakt het voor de globalisten moeilijker om het gat te dichten.
