Anyone who has seen interviews with Pieter Klok knows that the major media have opted for one-sided information: supporting the government narrative. Critical journalism has been put in the freezer, at the request of the government (this is evident from another interview than the one in the video below). Even a professional thinker like Maarten Boudry goes along with it. While in reality the RIVM advice has undoubtedly led to many unnecessary infections, Boudry thinks that the blame lies with 'disinformation' via social media. Because that's what the media say.
Orchestrated one-sided information that serves a purpose, also known as propaganda, has no progressive insight or (self) correction. If it is not disinformation at first, it will automatically become disinformation as more knowledge becomes available. After all, the story cannot change. In the beginning, the government made 100% of the policy with 50% of the knowledge, but now they do it with 10% of the knowledge. The knowledge has increased tenfold (and more), the measures are unchanged: 1.5m, face masks, washing hands. The fact that the media uncritically parrots the government narrative carries a great danger of spreading disinformation. Scientific substantiation and integrity are lacking. The story is static, science meanders on.
I have put Pieter Klok's commitment in a video for those who do not want to accept how he had already mapped out the uncritical propaganda line in 2020, the line that is still being followed a year later. Preceded by a fragment of Boudry (The New World) and the unimaginable propaganda bombardment in American TV stations, where dozens of hosts read identical texts (source lost, sorry).
