While dog walking, I force myself to listen to Radio1 regularly to keep up with the times, to hear what they are doing. It doesn't get any better. Pieter Klok called criticism of the media "dangerous" yesterday. He did so on Radio1 in the "media forum". He cites Ernst Jansz, who said in an interview in the Parool (a fellow MSM newspaper, so not just anything): "The media, Volkskrant and NRC In particular, they took over the government's propaganda unquestioningly."
What is dangerous about that? Well, that journalists are talked about like that! You won't believe it... What do those people think?
He literally said: 'I think it's dangerous when journalists - and also scientists - are talked about like that.' But Ernst Jansz was not talking about scientists at all. This shows once again how Pieter Klok identifies journalists with the state scientists they constantly copy-paste and call for advice. He just can't hear himself talking.
Shall we put Ernst Jansz in the dock as well? Maybe there is a libel business in it.
True or false; some things you are simply not allowed to say if it reflects negatively on someone or something, as we have seen in the recent court case of Jan Bonte. Certainly not if such a person takes a certain political position – and after all, that's what the media do. Contradiction and accusations against journalists are then disruptive, harmful and a danger to democracy. What a self-importance...
Ernst Jansz in Het Parool
"I still don't understand why we let all this happen. The lockdown, the curfew, the elderly who died lonely in the nursing home, the young people who became depressed: has our ability to think independently really disappeared completely? The media, Volkskrant and NRC in the lead, blindly copied the government's propaganda. At the beginning of the pandemic, I immediately let it be known that I would not perform for an audience that was only allowed to enter with a QR code."Why that is dangerous, according to Klok, is because the media see themselves as "Controllers of power“. He really says it! They are the critics and he makes it more than clear that they cannot use anyone else. Even if they behave like a State Megaphone, you should still not think anything of it because they determine when they do and do not function as they function. If you disagree with them, you undermine our democracy or "the system" that must remain intact. That's how Trump gets all those lawsuits: the court becomes instrumental for government censorship.
“We see ourselves as controllers of power, but suddenly we are seen as accomplices of power" observes Pieter Klok. He doesn't ask himself how that is even possible, then you have done something wrong somewhere I think. It does not lead to self-reflection for a moment because the written press does nothing wrong. (This, by the way, is in contrast to the broadcasters, which he does have comments on elsewhere in the interview. But yes, he is allowed to do that, after all, he is a journalist.)
If journalists are afraid, they can squander their task as controllers, we know from an older interview. Klok believes that it should be, "if there is fear among the population". He is referring to the fear that frightened journalists have allowed themselves to be talked into uncritically and then massively fueled themselves with the indiscriminate propagation and strong incitement of madness prognoses, medical inaccuracies and other questionable news.
But better not say anything about it, because before you know it you are "dangerous".
I have placed two fragments of Pieter Klok one after the other below: one from Radio1, 20 November 2024, immediately followed by relevant fragments from 19 March 2020, also on Radio1.
The virus that goes through the ether
A little later, they also wonder why fewer and fewer people want to have their one-sided perspective shoved down their throats. That is the reason for the Volkskrant to consider getting rid of Twitter. There, no one is interested in "what we make" anymore. But that's not the problem, the "what we make." No, the audience is no good. The media simply turn away from their audience. And then complain that the circulation is declining... They have simply lost the connection.
The European Commissioner who wanted to bring Big Tech a bit in line with what we actually want
Presenter Roos Abelman on Radio 1
Watch this very short clip below: Pieter just concludes the part in which he has indicated that he no longer sees any point in reaching (he means: 'send to', not 'communicate with') Twitter users. Then presenter Roos Abelman makes a bridge to censoring social media ("restricting Tech giants"), literally describing that censorship as: "letting them get a bit in line with what we actually want, the consumer..."
"Yes," says Klok in agreement.
That's what they want: everyone in line. If necessary by restricting freedom of expression. It really is a media virus. Did those people all go through the same brain wash or something?
I am very sorry, but we will really have to find something else about that. Convincing arguments, for example? Scientific transparency, to begin with? More open debate? Pluralistic information? Just to name a few.
But, Roos: everyone has to be in line with what you want...? And what do you mean by "the consumer"? That sounded a bit less narcissistic than that "we". But you don't mean "we, the consumer" as in that you represent the consumer!? Of course, that does not match those falling figures. The media are turning away because the consumer wants something completely different! Didn't you hear Pieter Klok? He gave an interview this morning in which he said that.
Do you still not understand why you are being crumbled, why Wilders is the biggest and will become even bigger, why Forum is probably going to grow and why Trump won?
It is this terrible disdain that you are killing yourselves. Tomorrow I'm going to listen to some podcast again. Brussen and Veelo of Joe Rogan of Wierd Duk, Café Weltschmerz or maybe Un Another interesting thing. Or else or The New World. But I'm done with your legacy media for now. Not to listen to.
This one came just too late for sending it out... I'll add it to it. Everyone is also walking away from the American media. They see how they have been cheated. And Joe gives a great example of a totally failed fact check of a statement by RFK jr.
For me, X is really the only place where "raw" news still passes by. Also usually a week earlier than in the censored MSM.
No idea what would have happened without Elon, but my gut tells me that this was a close call for unverifiable distortions of facts (for the greater good of course).
Absolutely! Now he is also working on an 'unbiased' alternative to Google and more of that beauty.
Did that ever end well, with a Liberator who gained so much power...?
I actually think it's very good what the mainstream media is doing now. The propaganda is so transparent that even the biggest fool doesn't fall for it anymore. They also cause a lot of irritation with their rambling, I think that's perfect. So I hope they remain convinced of their absurd right and start saying even stupid things that will make everyone drop out.
Furthermore, I don't understand why "journalist" would be an exalted profession. They would fight for our freedom or fight injustice? 99% of journalists are just breadwinners and write what their owners want. As far as I know, real whistleblowers are not journalists, but real people with a conscience. Personally, I have nothing to do with the "journalist" and do not see what they themselves think they see in their profession. Most are amateurs and unscrupulous and may be able to write a little. I once had an interview with a journalist and in his final piece more than half of the facts were wrong and I was not even allowed to check before it was printed. My feeling that journalists are very unbelievable and even corrupt is currently being confirmed on a daily basis.
Agreed, but there are also good independent journalists, let's support them! Personally, I like to watch blckbx. Marianne Zwagerman also regularly gets to the bottom of things. Maurice de Hond and others with figures. And everyone else who still really understands the profession of journalist. In the meantime, I like to read here. It feels together!
Which journalists do you mean?
Marianne is a columnist, Maurice is a researcher. Not to be confused with journalists.
blckbx is indeed most like journalism, but are they members of the NVJ, do their colleagues take them for granted, are they a party in the media world at all...?
Marcel van Silfhout, journalists at the other newspaper, too many to mention here. I quickly 'googled' what the internet has to offer, but then it is a good search because the search term 'independent journalists' mainly includes journalists who are good according to Pieter Klok. Marianne and Maurice speak regularly with journalists and more and more often because apparently that is possible again. We are not there yet on a number of topics, that is clear... The fact that I still can't use my full name here (They are heroes who have and are doing so) because my environment censors me from March 2020 and my family members, among others, lost their jobs says enough.
Anton, you are selling blckbx short because more and more often there are surprising guests speaking in my eyes who apparently take blckbx for granted. It makes me hopeful!
Brilliant that second fragment, I had never seen it before. But at that time I heard a lot about the infamous "Pieter Klok doctrine". Then I really woke up, although I had been critical of all kinds of government affairs much earlier, especially medical matters, such as healthcare, Big Pharma and the many medical blunders that have been made over the years and that the government preferred not to publicize.
But not awake in the sense of woke.
Keep up the good work and thanks for all your good blogs in virusvaria !
For me, that Klok fragment is one of the most iconic moments in the Dutch corona crisis. Another, at least as distopical, comes from Yacinda Ardern who looks into the camera and says – she really says it, you don't think it is possible – "and we will continue to be your single source of truth." With every right-minded journalist, all the hairs on the back of the neck immediately stand on end and the blood starts to boil. Because that happened to me.
She clearly hadn't read 1984.
The best way to make it clear to the msm that they are a thing of the past is: don't listen to them, read them, watch them. The Americans have already shown that they are fed up with the lies. Let the 'journalists' cook nicely in their soapy water. And give up hoping that they will one day see through their own brainwashing. Remember: we don't need them...
I often find the fact-checking publications enlightening. In this way I find out what we – the ordinary citizens – are not allowed to know 🤫 according to the elite.
