Trouwens als jij een coherent stuk kunt schrijven dat aansluit op de thematiek hier en paralellen trekt met andere probleemgebieden, is dat misschien wel te plaatsen, mits goed onderbouwd en/of plausibel gemaakt. Corona heeft veel blootgelegd en veel mensen wakker geschud, dat is een goede insteek om ook eens wat andere zaken te beschrijven. Het probleem is immers systemisch (dat heb ik ook al vaker gezegd) en gaat door alle grote thema’s heen. Maar laten we per artikel wel in de comments het balletje bij schuurtje houden.
Corona zou je kunnen gaan zien als de katalysator omdat er veel werd beloofd maar tegelijkertijd ook veel werd afgenomen. Ik zelf zie het als een ultieme poging om een dood systeem overeind te houden. Er wordt angst ingezet om grondrechten te beperken.
Dat is al een contradictie want grondrechten (zouden moeten) blijven staan Now Matter What.
Wat ik denk te zien als betrokken burger is een slim opgezet plan.

Er zijn vele zaken die aanleiding kunnen geven voor zo`n gevoel.
In deze casus is de grap dat de voeding middelen industrie mensen niet voedt maar eigenlijk ziek maakt. Snelle suikers en het idee dat iedereen gelijk is als het om voeding gaat is een start om heel veel mensen richting zorg te dwingen.
Nu wordt het idee dat pre diabetes een oorzaak kan worden voor mogelijke grote gevolgen voor hart- en vaatziektes geponeerd.
Ik ga zeker niet ontkennen dat pre diabetes een enorm probleem is.
Maar wat mij opvalt is dat het nu constateren van een relatie nooit aanleiding is geweest om het er over te hebben. Was die voeding industrie niet blij met het resultaat en waarom is er nu wel aandacht voor voeding?
Er is eigenlijk nog steeds te weinig aandacht voor voeding.
Voeding dient om te voeden en in de AyurVeda is dat al eeuwen een vaststaand feit.
De schijf van vijf is een waardeloos advies.
Maar er is meer.
Verteren van voedsel is voor een deel ook een kwestie van psyche.
Het is niet vreemd dat het in opperste staat van paraatheid brengen van de psyche een negatieve invloed heeft op de vertering.
Er moet immers energie aan iets anders worden besteed dan aan die vertering.
Hormonaal werkt het ook niet gunstig om voedsel te verteren als je je niet goed voelt.
Een overheid die veel energie steekt in alarmistische berichten helpt ook niet echt.
Ik wil graag meer vertellen over voeding en vertering een volgende keer.
Als daar belangstelling voor is.
Na ruim veertig jaar ervaring mag ik van mijzelf zeggen dat ik weet hoe het zit “met voeding”. Geld en macht zijn de drijfveren. Preventie kreeg ongeveer 20% en geneesmiddelen, operaties e.d. 80% uit de potten met geld. Preventie, lees leefstijl, kreeg de laatste jaren wat meer voet aan de grond, zo lijkt het maar daar zijn eerst vele verdienmodellen voor en omheen gemaakt. Artsen moeten het voorschrijven, pakjes en zakjes gemaakt door de farmaceuten, enz. Nederland is wel de “gekste” want bijvoorbeeld voeding voor allergische baby’s is net over de grens zonder voorschrift te koop terwijl hier de huisarts het voor moet schrijven en als het kindje een jaar is MOET het via de kinderarts… (en kom niet aanzetten met een bewust (on)geprikt kindje). De bedragen voor deze soorten babyvoeding liggen hier, in Nederland, hoger maar als men de belastende provocatietesten laat uitvoeren op het kindje staat er vergoeding van de zorgverzekering tegenover. En zo zijn er talloze voorbeelden. Om bij diabetes te blijven, inmiddels zijn er vele programma’s via artsen en hulpverleners maar ook kan iedereen zich waarschijnlijk wel “sonjabakkeren” herinneren want ook in het alternatieve “zorgstelsel” gaat er veel geld om. Mensen zijn en blijven gevoelig voor hypes, lees verslavingen. Joris Driepinter, wel bekend onder de oudere lezers hier, even googelen en men leest dat de melkplas op moest en de overheid de campagne liet bedenken dat melk gezond was… de campagne kwam zelfs nog terug wat jaren geleden… Dat we in een virusprikcampagne terecht zouden komen heb ik niet zien aankomen, zoveel kwaadaardigheid bij elkaar is in en in triest. Deze site is een lichtpunt voor mij!

The newspaper has a position on a particular matter. For example Ukraine. The Ukrainians are the victims (agree) of this conflict. So the bad guy is Russia.
Als iemand het dan waagt om een historisch perspectief van dat conflict te schetsen kleurt hij al buiten de lijntjes en wordt afgeserveerd. Want: stel dat mensen gaan twijfelen aan het zwart/wit goed/slecht narratief, dan zou er zomaar een heuse discussie op gang kunnen komen waarbij het VK narratief in twijfel wordt getrokken en er wellicht maatschappelijke onrust ontstaat.
Vervang Oekraine door Gaza, Covid aanpak, stikstof etc. en het verhaal is hetzelfde.

I saw the interview on DNW. I thought it was fair of Klok. It is completely true that he (as the personification of the Volkskrant) MUST follow the issues of the day. Now that is the NATO position, earlier it was Covid, even earlier it was Obama's red line (that 'Assad should not gas his own population', otherwise bombings on Syria would follow), before that the mediagenic terrorism of IS, Al Qaeda, etc., before that again the WMD, etc, etc, etc. All trendy products where the question: 'is this true?' CANNOT be asked by a journalist. And that is exactly what I expect from journalism: journalism defeats the issues of the day or conventional wisdom, journalists cannot do otherwise.
Luijendijk heeft daar wel eens een begin van een eerlijk antwoord op gegeven (in een van zijn boekjes) toen hij als correspondent Israël met 10-tallen andere journalisten op de bus van het persbureau werd gezet om vervolgens bij de Westbank ofzo bijgelicht te worden over wat het persbureau voor waar aannam. Waarna Luijendijk dat in een eigen sausje ‘s avonds voor het NOS journaal mocht brengen. En waarbij Luijendijk dacht: ‘Maar ik begrijp er helemaal niks van!’ -Wat niet wegnam dat hij s avonds braaf voor het NOS journaal de waarheid/conventionele waarheid van het persbureau samenvatte over de stavaza op de Westbank. Zo gaat dat in journalisme.

Zo is dat ook zo bij Klok. Zo is dat bij alle journalisten die schrijven voor een krant die de waan van de dag als waarheid moet presenteren. Journalisten zijn niet anders dan de vakkenvullers van de Jumbo die hun spullen dagelijks aangereikt krijgen via het distributiecentrum/het persbureau en vervolgens worden geacht de aangereikte waren zo goed mogelijk in de schappen te zetten. Wat er in die producten zit, is niet hun verantwoordelijkheid. Of die producten goed smaken/waarheid bevatten, ze hebben net als die LA Times journalist uit Sinclair’s boek geen idee. Die sensatie kennen ze niet meer.
Wat je zegt over de waarachtigheid van Volkskrant vs NRC vs Telegraaf is ongeveer net zo waar als welke supermarkt het beste eten verkoopt: Albert Heijn, Jumbo of ALDI. Ja, er zijn verschillen, maar wie werkelijk goed wil eten/ wil weten wat waar is, zal zijn eigen moestuintje moeten onderhouden/ zelf moeten nadenken. Dat vele mensen hun eigen eten niet kunnen verbouwen/zelf kunnen nadenken is het probleem en niet het feit dat er kranten/supermarkten bestaan.
What was remarkable about the interview was the anger that came over Klok as soon as the c-word was uttered. THEN I saw that Klok is something more than the nihilistic LA Times journalist from the Sinclair quote. Klok knows perfectly well that THAT delusion of the day is not correct. But what can he do about that? The man is only allowed to talk about the issues of the day, he has no choice. And see the anger when someone else tries to get him to talk about it.
In die boosheid zag ik ook iets anders. Enerzijds, dat wat je gaat zien op het moment dat je gaat praten over een taboe onderwerp (dat roept spanningen op). Maar ook een van de fasen van rouw. Uiteindelijk is Klok ook maar een mens die net zoals al die andere covid adepten reageert zoals een kind reageert op het moment dat ie erachter komt/te horen krijgt dat Sinterklaas niet bestaat. -Dan gaat er een geloofsysteem kapot wat wel gepaard moet gaan met woede (en ontkenning, dissociatie [zombie gedrag], depressie), maar waarvan acceptatie altijd om de hoek ligt op het moment dat blijkt dat er over die teleurstelling openlijk gepraat mag worden.
Kortom, een interview dat interessant is om te zien en om op te slaan om nog eens terug te zien. Er wordt VEEL in verteld, ofschoon je wel de capaciteit moet hebben om tussen de regels door te kunnen lezen.
Enfin…
Ik weet niet of ik dat interview alsnog ga kijken; die lulverhalen van Klok ken ik wel zo langzamerhand, blijkt altijd tijdverspilling.
Maar jouw gelaten, zelf defaitistische opvatting van journalistiek vind ik veel te vrijblijvend. Journalistiek is ook de Vierde Macht, weet je nog? De laatste verdedigingsring van de burger tegen de Staat.
Journalists say out loud that they objectively proclaim the truth. That they question power. That they are truth seekers. Stock clerks really don't say that. That fits better with fraudsters, scammers and dictators. And then also in the service of the government narrative.
If you normalize or condone this, you encourage totalitarian tendencies. You can't let this go that easily.
