Now that the vaccine is coming, it must be determined "what to do with the virus madmen, the refusers and the skeptics." This in turn forces the national media to post typically incoherent MSM stories, articles and opinions.
Read first The opinion piece by Stevo Akkerman in the Trouw of November 20 and then let's reverse his line of thought. He wonders what should happen to people who have refused the vaccination and become ill with a positive test. You can also approach that from the other side.
In addition to wondering what we should do with corona vaccine refusers, you can also ask yourself: "What to do with the victims of hastily taken vaccinations?"
Anyone who deliberately wants to take the risk of a certain vaccination has that freedom. So far, the skeptics have not made a fuss about that. Nevertheless, they should also think further about measures against possible vaccine victims.
Employees who have said "yes" too rashly
An employer who will soon lose some of his employees to the long-term effects of the vaccine, what about that? Should he continue to pay wages? Should those workers all get benefits if they have a headache all day from a drug they knew could happen?
People who are going to take up care because the vaccination does not work well for them or because chronic conditions develop, they consciously took that risk when they started.
There is something to be said for giving priority to the more thoughtful unvaccinated, for example in healthcare.
Now, the chance that long-term effects will actually occur is very small – but not excluded. With other vaccines, it is almost never Happened. ALMOST never. That is accepted, but when it comes to corona we always hear: "Yes, but it will only just affect your child, or your parents". Unfortunately, the argumentation that causes the most fear always works best.
Remember that a lung virus never jumps from person to person via droplets. Well OK, almost never. Yet all measures are based on that.
I don't hear anyone about an "unvaccinated pass" that will offer privileges in healthcare when half the world's population will soon be standing in front of the hospital or pharmacy counter with side effects.
“… who may be saved first." 😂😂
That use of words too, "saved"! So every injection saves someone, OK. So herd immunity is not really necessary. But if it can be done with individual protection, why don't we just inject the vulnerable every year? Problem solved. After all, mortality is only a problem in the elderly. Just like the flu shot or maybe in the cocktail as soon as the novelty wears off.
Herd immunity is not an argument, which is also evident from the formulation 'who may be saved first'.
The vulnerable will have to go and get the flu shot. The regular flu shot is only achieved by 50% of the vulnerable people who are invited to it. Of the entire population, only 20% get the flu shot, while 6,500 people die from the flu every year. Have passes ever been invented for that?
It's all wafer-thin and ill-considered. We don't even know yet whether the short-term side effects among the non-vulnerable cause less discomfort than covid infections. Or even less mortality among the vulnerable.
The long-term effects are yet to be seen. Because the test subjects are also vaccinated and can therefore no longer be compared, these effects will only become apparent after the population has been vaccinated. We are all test subjects and we can start in the group of unvaccinated people.
It surprises me that no one really needs to know whether long-term effects play a role, especially with a completely new process. Billions of people are injected with that stuff. Hugo de Jonge seems to take responsibility for the Netherlands with a smile. To me, that indicates a lack of intelligence (or competence), just like blindly following the RIVM. Irresponsible behavior. I hope for him (and for us) that it ends well.
There is so much to say about vaccination: Among mountaineers, mountaineering is more deadly than a corona infection. They are allowed to keep climbing, right? Well, there are also daredevils, adventurers, nature lovers, bon vivants who would like to live on without this vaccination.
Similar comparisons can probably also be made with smokers, drinkers, obese, you name it. The corona psychosis should stop now.
For the record: I am still strongly in favor of vaccinations, always been an outspoken pro-vaxxer. Just ask my American friends. At the time, I just didn't know very well how things were going in America with the pharma lobby.
