What can you do yourself against corona in the coming period - besides healthy eating, exercise etc.? Not that difficult: extra Vitamin D, Zinc and above all: be alert to good ones ventilation. And don't stay near sick people for a long time (who should have stayed at home). That's it.
About Vitamin D: an excellent piece of it Steven de Oude on Facebook about Vitamin D
About Zinc: Choose one scientific study from the 5000 publications on Pubmed about this
About ventilation: see the studies referred to Maurice.nl
"Airborne transmission via aerosols formation is suspected to be the main mode of transmission."

We don't have to let the annual flu wave wash over us every year. That may be policy, but we are also involved, aren't we? The flu wave can be leveled off with the right information and ventilation. I wonder whether the relatives of the approximately 33,000 flu wave deaths over the last five years will notice this. Grandma might have survived for a few more years.
Many of the approximately 33,000 flu deaths in the last five years could certainly have survived for a few more pleasant years.
...with the right policy that is.
But: then we should have had an institute that closely follows science in order to provide adequate policy advice in the interest of public health. Still something to consider for the future.
- Knowledge is now far behind
- Advice is ineffective (and that's an understatement)
- Public health is something different from healthcare and certainly does not translate into the number of available ICU beds.
Before the press conference at the beginning of April(!) I really thought that the RIVM would be sidetracked due to poor performance. When that didn't happen, I started blogging and posting about it, about IC performance, Public Health aspects, the role of the media. This misery has been going on for five months now.
It's still a mess with the government, the major media and trust in the court doctors.
