I regularly receive interesting responses that are better substantiated than what we receive in the media and by the 'independent fact checkers' of the same media. The 'fact checking' there is generally of a deplorable level. So bad, in fact, that the first censorship perpetrator can pose as a fact checker and get away with it. After all, who guards the watchdogs? I am convinced that we can all do much better.
Fact checkers operate anonymously and are not open to debate. They probably have no input into what to write anyway, nor any background knowledge. After all, it is mainly journalists who have been given an additional fact-checking task. If we look at what journalists achieve in terms of critical content in the media, it is not surprising that the fact checks do not succeed in rising above that level.
Hun werkwijze is niet eens "klopt het!" wat zou inhouden "vind ik bevestiging?". Ten eerste gaat het niet zozeer om bevestiging maar meer om "is er tegenbewijs?". De werkelijk gevolgde werkwijze is echter "staat het zo op de rivm-website?" terwijl rivm ten eerste zelf partij is in het discours, dus nogal wat te verdedigen heeft en ten tweede niet bekend staat om haar talent voor dataverzameling, -management of -analyse.

Who is helping?
Collect documents, edit them into solid fact checks and thoroughly debunk the misinformation that is being spread about us by fact checkers and the media.

The piece in NRC, which tries in vain to deny that there are many vaccinated people in the ICU at the MUMC, was in any case another tour de force of nonsense in the room that needed to be filleted.
