ELECTION PROGRAM AND DIGITAL ID
Dear members of the House of Representatives,
A few thorough investigative journalists from Follow the Money have revealed that the Netherlands is cooperating with a digital mandatory ID for all EU citizens. I assume you are aware of this piece? .
In the corridors through which many Dutch citizens stroll, it is now said that the QR code associated with the corona pass is a setup for this digital ID and that the pandemic is therefore being 'extended'. In other words, vaccination no longer aims to combat the virus, but rather to obtain a green check mark so that you as a citizen can retain your fundamental rights and human rights. The latter is very strange in my opinion. In this way, fundamental rights and human rights become a kind of privileges instead of being linked to our biological identity: namely that we are Homo sapiens and therefore possess these rights at birth.
Can you debunk these rumors?
Can you tell me where I can find that digital ID in your election manifesto? I don't think it's a 'thing' to just enter. Shouldn't we have a big open debate about that? There are also disadvantages to such a digital ID. With the benefits affair still fresh in my mind, it also seems to me that such an ID could be a danger to people who are entered incorrectly into the system. And what if it gets hacked? Or the power goes out?
And will you confirm that if it turns out that the Omicron variant is indeed no more than a severe cold virus, that all freedom-restricting measures of citizens in the Netherlands will be lifted immediately? If not: what is the exact reasoning for not doing this?
