Ivor Cummins argues in a twenty-minute video that lockdowns don't work and certainly not with seasonal diseases. Een van zijn vorige 'recaps' is 1.7 miljoen keer bekeken. Niet dat dat iets zegt over het waarheidsgehalte maar hij vat de onderbouwing van de anti-lockdowners (waartoe ik mezelf vooralsnog ook reken) in elk geval behoorlijk samen.
In addition to a whole series of comparisons between countries and times of lockdowns, he emphatically mentions:
- As recently as October 2019, the WHO clearly advised against quarantine of healthy people in an epidemic because its effectiveness was unsubstantiated. There were no lockdowns at all.
- Also where PCR mortality is increasing, the Excess mortality often in line with previous years and sometimes even lower.
- Locking people up also leads to extra mortality. There are many PCR positive tests, including in people who die. Then the Covid graphs look dangerous, even with regular mortality figures.
- There is a pile of scientific studies that all argue or demonstrate why lockdowns have no positive effect (see this link).

What now?
Dus... (want mensen vragen dan: moeten we dan niets doen?) als prioriteiten zou ik voorstellen:
- Adjust care capacity immediately. First now temporarily and then also structurally, especially with a view to the Rising mortality rates in the coming years.
- Facilitating Monitored Trial Use of Candidates in Scientific Waiting Rooms: Ivermectin and HCQ/Zinc
- Het binnenklimaat upgraden met een betere luchtkwaliteit (herzien bouwbesluit, vergunningen publieke ruimtes). Dat zal de besmettingen beter spreiden en niet alleen laten uitbreken in het 'binnenseizoen'. Daarbij zal het ook voor andere virussen en volgende pandemieën van pas komen.
- More attention to nutrition and additives (Vit. D, C, Zinc), smoking bans, lifestyle etc.
- Hoog tijd voor een campagne, liefst virals met een hoge R0-waarde, kernboodschap: "Bestrijd het virus alsof het een gas is."
